my 1997 honda civic got the ghostbuster symbol on the windshield because of cloudy headlights. they tried to get me for $100 to restore them... i told them i'll be back. so i bought this stuff & it worked like magic. it comes with the polish, drill operated buff pad and a microfiber towel. i couldn't find my drill, but i still used the buff pad with circular motions, kinda like karate kid( wax on, wax off) waited 10 seconds, then wiped off with the towel. did two more applications and BOOM!!! BRAND NEW HEADLIGHTS!!! took only 5 mins. and saved $80...

If you're going to wash your car and just want to give a really good clean/minor resurfacing to your headlight lenses ahead of time this is a great kit.But if you have deep scratches, and/or alot of hazing and/or yellowing, this kit is NOT enough for the job, and instead I highly recommend the 3M Headlight Restoration kit (which is what I ended up using after 2 prior attempts - this being one of them).

I was quoted at the local Honda Dealership, that they can clean my headlamps, for only $139.00. Ya, right. I have a 2003 Honda civic, with really bad, cloudy headlight lenses. I came across this product, watched the you tube demo videos, and decided, what the heck. Lets give it a try. It actually works. I could not believe it. I took before and after photos, of my headlight lenses, and after some buffing, with my drill, I started to see results. I only have a battery operated portable drill, but I think an electric drill will work faster, better. I had to keep stopping, because the batteries were being drained too fast. But this product actually works. My headlights are clearer, and brighter, now.

I just use Meguiars Headlight Restoration on 2 of my cars. One of the cars had yellow headlights. It was pretty embarrasing driving a clean car with yellow headlights. After using this the kit, 95% of the yellow came out. Amazing!!!! It almost looks like new except for a some fine scratches, which I could live with.

On my other car it had scratchs and nicks. The kit doesn't take out the nicks(from rocks) but does takes out some scratchs. Looks a lot better than before!

I totally recommend this product. We'll see how long my lights stay looking like new. Beats paying 100's of dollars to have a body shop do it.

Used the kit on a 2000 Subaru with hazy plastic headlight covers. Took my time and buffed a small section at a time. Polished up the headlights as good as new. There are still little dings in the headlight, but now nice and clear. If the headlight is cracked and has moisture and stuff on the inside, this will clearly not fix that so don't expect it to. Follow directions and it works. Use a plug in grill unless you have a couple of batteries for your cordless.

Used this product to buff out the headlights on my 2003 Saab 9-5 (lots of highway miles) and did a very good job. The deeper pits and nicks didn't come out, but overall a big improvement. I found periodically changing the rotation direction on the electric drill helped keep the buffing pad from matting down and exposed new threads.

I got a major improvement using this. The headlights aren't perfect, but I can see the bulb again (the headlights were almost useless before). This saved me a $600 replacement bill!

I purchased this kit at a Walmart for approx $20 and it was totally worth every penny. My wife's 2000 Pontiac Grand Am had very foggy headlights and this kit worked wonders! It comes with a shammy cloth, a bottle of the cleaning solution and a soft brush that mounts to any drill head. Approximately 15-20 minutes of buffing per headlight and they were completely clear! Obviously this kit will not fix any fogging or condensation that builds up on the inside of the headlight, but for only $20 I was able to restore the headlights to about 90% of their original brightness. I also used it on the rear headlights and fog lights as well by applying the solution to a small piece of cloth and polishing by hand.Overall, I would give this product a 10/10 stars - it is very cheap, extremely easy to use, doesn't require any abrasive sanding or potential damage to the car's finish, and was extremely effective. Plus, I only used about half the solution in the bottle that came with the kit, so there is easily enough for 2 cars.

I couldn't find any reviews on how long this product's effect last when I was considering buying it. So this may help some of you on the fence. My cars are not garaged and sit in the sun & elements 24x7.

The product is simple to install on my power drill. I had to be very careful about the speed & angle of the drill because even though the pad is soft, the plastic backing of the pad can scuff up the plastic headlight. I had to keep it perfectly perpendicular to the lens's surface. Secondly, the pad quickly becomes matted but simply rinse with water and spin it dry to clean it.

The result is almost instantaneous and makes my headlights look over 90% new. It made cloudy headlights crystal clear again; fine small scratches disappeared too. The large chips and deep cracks won't go away since this is only a polishing and not sanding "restoration". It doesn't leave a slick or oily residue...just a smooth finish.

Importantly for me though was how long my headlights would keep its like-new look. About a month after my first treatment, and the headlight is beginning to cloud up again and looks about 80% new/clear. This isn't a permanent fix but a less expensive alternative to completely replacing your headlights.
